What to do when someone smells: A reader question

Well, today this Domina-mail arrived in my inbox:
"What is the best way to handle the situation when someone you work with is over-applying their perfume or cologne?"

Tough question, dear reader, but I must break down my answer:
If the person in question is your boss, and you would like to keep your job, or your advancement potential, then there is really no delicate way to tell him or her without causing some sort of office-strife. I suggest retreating to your office and try not to breathe too deeply, sorry lovely reader.

If the person in question is your co-worker, you could pull him or her aside one day and delicately explain that although you love his or her scent, you are having some sort of reaction to it and would greatly appreciate it if him or her laid off the scent slightly or altogether. A well-placed white lie, never hurt anyone, and goes a long way to soothing otherwise hurt feeling in this situation.

Good luck!
